What was the first song you wrote and what inspired it?
The first song I wrote was called “F*%# you talkin'’ bout.” What inspired me to write it was because people are constantly discussing things and don’t know what they are talking about. Talking about certain things when in all actuality they never lived that life or came close.

It was just my friends and whoever came around us I would only play just for them.
What experiences have you gone through that made you be the person that you are today and the music you make?
Since I was, little I lived with my stepdad and we really didn’t “click” when I was growing up and I was put out of the house at the age of sixteen. I was living with friends and by myself, most of the time and that gave me the motivation to become a go-getter. It also motivated me to keep pushing forward because I never really had anyone to have my back, so I had to do it all on my own.
How do you wish to inspire young people with your music?
I want the young people to know that you can do anything if you put your mind to it. In the beginning, I didn’t know where I was going and had no sense of direction but over time I began to perfect my craft and look at me now. I want them to listen to my music and see the transition from then to now, to see the growth and how far I have come.
If you were to give someone advice on life or how to start song writing what would you say?
I would say that you have to love it first because it makes it easier when you have a passion for it. A general love for music, a general love for yourself because that’s something I had to build up within myself. To understand who and what I wanted to be, my image and where can this path take me. You really have to invest in yourself, equipment and do everything to get your name out there so people can see your progression in life.
Have you had any performances?
I have done a couple of shows; I did a show for Hot 97 in New York, the Voltage Lounge, Temple University and a couple shows at Howard University.
