  • Instagram

Angel Nicole Rosa is from Allentown, Pennsylvania, and attended Darife Highschool. She now attends East Stroudsburg University, Pennsylvania, and began her fitness journey. Growing up Angel weighed two hundred pounds and was heavy set her entire life. Her life-changing moment was when she was attending her high school prom and then realized this is not the lifestyle she wanted to continue to live. During her senior year in high school, she began to start her fitness journey she began to drink lots of water, kept her calorie in at a minimum and she was able to lose thirty-four pounds. Throughout the summer she continued her weight loss journey and was able to lose fifty pounds. In you go through different phases, but its not the phases you go through it’s how you take action and how you change your life throughout those phases. This is her story.

What is your fitness routin?

I don’t really have a specific routine, but I do have specific things I eat and do not eat. I do not drink soda at all I only drink water. Water is the only thing you really need to stay hydrated, and everything else is just for taste. When I began to only drink water It became the only thing that would satisfy my thirst. As far as food I don’t eat sweets, chips and I try to stay always from fast food because those nutrients are not nutrients at all. When I started my journey, I started to become more attentive to how my body feels vs how my mind feels when I'm eating it. I started to realize after not eating fast food or junk food I would begin to feel sick when I would eat it. I eat more salads, veggies depending on how it is being cooked. When you start to eat more healthy food, you start to figure out ways to make it taste good. You then begin to acquire a taste for it and the changes your body encounter with your eating habits are amazing. I stopped eating meat recently as well, three weeks to be exact and when I tried to eat meat again I didn’t like how it made me feel and what it was doing to my body. I also eat a lot of fruits, and I love how they taste, I make smoothies out of them as well. Without all of these unhealthy foods, I have more energy throughout my day, and I feel more healthy.

How do you feel about Herbal Life and other fitness products?

I was actually going to start Herbal life products, but the only reason that I did not, I don’t like companies that make you pay to be healthy and fit. Being healthy and fit is simpler than that you don’t have to buy these products or drink these shakes to maintain a healthy body. You don’t have to drink these teas or eat these specific foods to live a healthy lifestyle. There are other ways to go about being healthy on your own without having to spend all this money. If you are not changing their lifestyle nor educating them on how to become healthy then what is the point of buying all of these products. Herbal Life specifically they actually have trainers and coaches that will text you constantly throughout your journey. Whether if it's asking them what to eat or what workout to do for this result, they are definitely amazing for that asset. All those other ones don’t have that additive to their company they are just after your money and have you figure out the rest on your own.

How was your first experience at the gym?

It was very intimidating, I came in and went straight to the corner because I didn’t want anyone to see me. I went to the treadmill and began walking because I knew if I ran I felt like I would look stupid. So, I would just walk, and I would jog every now and then. I would constantly look around because I thought people were watching me and making fun of me. I felt like I could work out in the comfortability of my own home without feeling like people are watching. At the same time, I knew I had to be here in order to get to where I needed to be. I know that if I'm in the gym I'm going to have to do something just because insecure about not doing anything.

“Actions are the only

Thing that brings results"

What type of music do you listen to when working out?

I like to listen to 50 cent, he puts me in the mood. I listen to Meek Mill and a lot of hardcore Hip-Hop  because it makes me work harder.

how do you wish to inspire young people?

What advice would you give someone who wants to get fit and healthy?

I would tell them that your body is only going to change as much as you change it and if you don’t do anything you will get nothing out of it. Actions are the only thing that brings results. You can sit down and think about it but once you do it you’ll feel great.

I feel like young people are already there, they are at the pint of no return take advantage while you can. If you healthy while you're young you are inclined to stay healthy as you get older.
